Christmas & Me :)

Hey guys, so it's pretty clear that I completely & utterly suck at updating this blog. I mean I had such great intentions on making it full of makeup & what not but since my obsession with spending thousands of dollars on my pretty far-from-little makeup collection has dwindled, I figured I'd talk about something probably less interesting. Me. Ha! 

Okay, so what's new, you definitely didn't ask? Besides continuing going to school and preparing myself for even more school, after this school and eventually more school.. well i'm being ridiculously in love (but more on that at an earthly hour, where I won't ramble about how we cuddle like puppies & our gay nicknames for each other), I've got not so much going on. Don't fault me for my blabbing, it's 4:20am & I can't sleep & remembered, hey.. asshole, you have a blog with a relative of like a little over 100 viewers & a couple thousand views (which ain't shit, but you know.. & if you read it all.. then you're worse then I am) gotta keep those who like me & those who hate to admit they like me happy. Ah! Guys, I'm just being a douche but really I just wanted to say Happy Holidays, hope everyone spent their Christmas with their loved ones.

All those that actually know me, know my booty is all Jewished up with my Hanukkah bush. This year though I wasn't fortunate enough to spend Christmas with my boo like I've been doing for the past couple of years, instead.. don't you worry, I didn't have a Jewish Christmas that consisted of chinese food & rerun Christmas movies wondering why we couldn't have Moses or David in a awesome costume with little small people who make presents for us kipa-wearing brethern. Instead, I did what I use to do when I was single & hit up the closest Italian best friend I've got & go raid their Christmas party. For those that have never been to an Italian Christmas.. you my friend, have not lived. Lucky for me, I have a best friend whose dad is a former chef (OH YEAH) and let me tell you------I have had homemade Italian food at so many friends homes & it's always, always good but nothing, NEVER can beat my best friend Val's families cooking. Yeah I said it. So I went, I ate, I stuffed myself to unhealthy & probably illegal levels & all the while enjoyed myself. 

As for gifts, I've received what had to be the sweetest, best, most ultimate, don't care if it's a run-on sentence amazing, no wonders can explain the level of adorableness gift ever. (And some more ish but I won't elaborate on my spoiledness.) Now I got this from someone special, que in the hearts & cheesy music, but I did & I love it. I got a little pup, yep.. a Lhasa Apso, probably the cutest puppy in the world (after my Yorkie Stewie, cause nobody is more bad ass & adorable as Stu) but this little guy is definitely giving his older brother a run for his money. I named him Benji, for multiple reasons mainly because I love the name Benjamin, it's super-Jew, i love my quaker forefather B.F. & cause it essentially means 100 dollars.. mula, as you have it. Yep, I named my dog after money, don't judge me. I named my first dog after my obsession with family guy.. where Stewie (or formally Stewart) came too. My little guy has been giving both me & his daddy (my boo, incase y'all think i have some bond with his actual "canine dada") a bit of a scare, he's got a kennel cough & we're worried to say the least but lucky for us, he's gradually feeling better. 

Okay, enough about my ball of cotton, something else that's pretty exciting.. my BIRTHDAY! HEYYYYYYYYY! Okay, so it's official, I'm nearing my mid-20's, not yet an old lady but no longer a child (in my terms at least) the last year before I'm 25. I've asked my hubs, his friends & my actual friends that I like if they'd all accompany me to a classy yet slightly ratchet strip club so that I can actually get "a big bootied hoe" for my birfffday. Cliche? I know but I'm not a club animal, in fact, I can count on one hand how many times I went clubbing in 2012 (slightly sad.. yeah yeah butttt) I'm not boring, I can partayyyy when partayyyying is needed but I don't know how to explain it, when I'm in a relationship I don't see the point, you know? What happiness is a place full of loud music, drunk way-too-sure-of-themselves ugly assfaces & women pretending to be there cause they "like to dance" gunna do for me? Nothing. Ain't nobody got time for that. I know what you're thinking? A strip club though? Hey, first off, I can almost always hear myself speaking to the other person, strippers love me.. not but really & it's the type of chill (& slightly ratchet.. don't tell anybody) enviroment I secretly love. Of course, I'll probably spend the day of my actual birthday making my friends go out to an overpriced restaurant where the meals are small but the drinks are strong which these bitches enjoy. But yep, I'll be updating you on my i-wish-it-was-boring life, I'm currently on the verge of reassembling a broken relationship of two people I love, who have no choice but to be together because I said so. No, I'm kidding.. sorta but I'm playing cupid. Keep you posted on how that turns out. Juicy juicy gossip gossip, ha! The only names you're gunna get is of my dogs. And if you think this is too long, then hey.. you're the crazy that read it all. Love you all & Merry Christmas & such.

Okay guys I am going to que you in, into a cosmetics company that surprisingly has good quality makeup for a fraction of the cost. E.L.F. which stands for eyes.lips.face & although, I do not own too many different products from this brand, I do agree with everyone that E.L.F. does own some items that for the price and the quality you recieve is surprisingly remarkable. Now I cannot recommend everything because I do not own enough to provide an honest and detail review but I can recommend their brushes strongly.

**Now below this post I spoke about brushes and the large necessity of owning them. I realized that although the websites I posted were clearly much cheaper than your professional MAC (& leading competitors) brushes, they still could effect others budget wise. Now I promise this, although clearly the quality of E.L.F. does not rival MAC because we are talking about two different levels of makeup but I promise you, they are SUPER cheap & the perfect set of brushes for beginners. With brushes as low as $1 and sets no more than $30 dollars, the prices cannot be beat when it comes to E.L.F, I recommend them for starter kits & to finally ease into doing your makeup properly.

Hi guys! I've been noticing something that many women tend do to when it comes to applying eyeshadow on their eyes & it's use those horrific eye applicator's that most eyeshadows come with. I don't even think I own any because I HATE them. I throw them out everytime I see that a palette dares to have one inside. I know brushes can be expensive there for I've provided a list of three brand name brushes that are RIDICULOUSLY cheap & still are made of the right quality. I won't lie, nothing replaces high end brushes with steep prices, you are getting (usually) what your paying for but there are good brushes that don't need to be over $40+ & here listed below is links to three brands that I feel do a moderately good job at applying makeup but I do suggest if eventually everyone upgrades to MAC (or NARS, Smashbox, Claudio Raiz - gasp $$$). Unless your planning on becoming a professional makeup artist, Claudio Raiz isn't a must. His brushes are always $50+ each. I'll do a post later on which brushes everyone SHOULD definitely own. Until then, here are the sites you guys should visit, I promise the price and the quality do no match, they are much cheaper then they should be. Enjoy guys!

**By the way.. if your stuck on quality, Sonia Kashuk and Sigma tend to rival, Sonia having a few brushes better than Sigma (in my opinon), Crown brushes are my last choice, although they aren't horrible, they aren't as good as the rest but are the cheapest of the bunch. Hope this helps!

Hey guys! so I did a terrible job at explaining exactly what I used so I wanted to updated you guys on exactly what I used! :) **I have normal skin, if you have dry or combination, the following products might not be best for you & I forgot to include in my eyeliner in this.. I used MAC's Feline khol pencil for my waterline & lower lash line.. it tends to leak/run a lot but I wanted a very-very-very black black & Feline is number one.

First & foremost, I prime my eyes with Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion, then I added Urban Decay's Sin, which is the second color in the row of colors in the Naked Palette. After that I made a cat eye using MAC's Fluidline in Blacktrack & a bent eyeliner brush from Sephora. Usually, I layer mascara but this time I used Dior's Blackout Mascara in Noir for a quick but long lash look. After your eyes are done, remember I only used one basic eyeshadow because I was trying to brighten my eyes, not so much dramatize them. In fact, the cat eye adds the right amount of pzazz :)

Now I always do my eyes first because there's always a chance of fallout but once that's done comes the easy part. The most important part in preparation for your face is to make sure you add primer, if you don't wear a face primer then your makeup is guaranteed to fade away within just a few short hours. My favorite primer to use is Laura Mercier's foundation primer, works wonders & really helps keep your foundation put. After applying a sparring amount of primer to your face, comes the "fabulous face" part, apply with either a wet Beauty Blender (OMG) or a stippling brush a coat of foundation, the one that I use is Shiseido's hydro-liquid cream foundation which is amazing. It's in a little travel black compact that you can take anywhere.

Once your foundation is on, this is optional but I love to get a glowing look so I use concealer to contour my face, I'll definitely be making a video on how to contour soon but I use sheer cover duo concealer, the left part for my contouring needs while the right for contouring dark circles after a long night partying or any blemishes.

Now the fun part! Powder powder powder! I use a stippling brush to add bronzer because I like a small sparring amount, I'm not a big fan of a seriously dark face so I add my favorite bronzer, NARS Laguna because it has a nice glow, it is several shades lighter then NARS Casino (which I suggest to anyone that needs something darker). After bronzer comes my most, absolute favorite omg-lovelovelove part.. BLUSH! I absolutely adore blush! For this look I used Early Morning.. I know I said "Easy Breeze".. which is actually Subtle Breeze but I didn't use either of them, after the video I realized I used a different one. On me it glares a more coral pinky slightly golden shade but it's absolutely gorgeous, the only thing that doesn't do it for me is that it's slightly chalky. Regardless, it's still gorgeous. Now for the final addition to my look is what makes my face actually pop! A highlighter, this one especially is one of my favorite beauty powders (something I collect besides lipstick) called Play it Proper, it's absolutely stunning. It adds a light white-pink glow to your face. I strongly suggest using either a highlighting powder or a cream based illuminator no matter what style of makeup your choosing to do.

Of course, always save the best for last, I usually prime my lips with MAC's lip primer (which I forgot to take a picture of) but after I prime my lips & wait about 5 minutes for it to get tacky, I line my lips with MAC's lip pencil in Stripdown and then add MAC's lipstick in Aristo-Chic. Although I didn't use a lipgloss this time, I usually add any semi-nude colored lipgloss to add some shine. Nobody likes dry lips :) Hope that helped you all, I promise I'll actually explain further in more detail in future looks, I just wanted to give you a quick recap of what I used because someone personally asked me too! I have others as well but there is nothing like a MAC lipstick to me, the price with the quality is superb & therefore I need to celebrate that fact. Well, well clearly I've been completely absent to a point as to where I never even posted swatches of the Iris Apfel collection that I got late last year. It was wonderful by the way & while I post looks & tutorials, I'll be sure to incorporate those lipsticks for sure. I've been all over the place with school, my boo, family & friends, I finally have enough time to sit, take away from the constant reminder of my diet (oh goodness) & do what I've been meaning to do. Show more love to my blog & finally set up my youtube channel, my skills are improving.. luckily for me I've got a best friend whose as equally obsessed & a mother who's been a professional MUA since she was 19. Okay, just wanted to at least update because I see people visiting & my hits are climbing but I'm not even posting.
